开元通宝 （唐）

开元通宝始铸于唐高祖武德四年（公元621年），钱文“开元通宝”传为唐代书法家欧阳询制词并书。它的出现打破了自秦“半两”钱以来用重量为钱文名称的传统，开钱文以“宝”为名之先声。开元通宝钱背多有月形纹饰，民间传说为杨贵妃手掐进呈的钱样所留，因此有“美人留痕”之说，

Issued in the 4th year of Wu De reign of the Tang Dynasty (AD 621). It is said that the characters on the coin 'Kai Yuan Tong Bao' were written by the famous calligrapher Ouyang Xun.
